A sustainable cooperation for the future: Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets and Fitico Sportswear
Sustainability has been a major topic at Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets for years. This is also how the Forstnig hotelier family came across Fitico Sportswear. Already in our first phone calls to get to know each other, we could see that we think the same way when it comes to sustainability and environmental protection: the impact of our actions, especially for future generations, is particularly close to both of our hearts, and therefore we are working to constantly to reduce the environmental impact of our businesses.
What could be more natural than joining forces and entering into a cooperation? Since this year the Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets is our exclusive partner in Carinthia. Our customers benefit from special offers, discounts and competitions.
What sustainability means at Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets...
Sustainability has been a priority at the Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets for years. The hotel has been awarded both the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel and attaches great importance to protecting the environment and preserving natural resources for future generations. Each guest stays at the Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets not only CO2-neutral, but also saves 58kg of CO2-equivalent emissions per night compared to a reference hotel. The hotel relies on the use of products from the region, uses biodegradable detergents and cleaning products, prefers the use of renewable energy and even has its own electric power plant, which is powered 100% by hydroelectricity. Guests can rent electric bikes and cars (Tesla and Mercedes) on site, avoiding CO2 emissions and particulate matter as they explore the region.
...and at Fitico Sportswear
In everything we do, we put people and the planet first - that's the basic idea behind Fitico Sportswear's fair sportswear. Our functional outfits are made from Econyl®, a nylon yarn made from 100% recycled fishing nets. This frees the world's oceans from so-called "ghost nets", conserves non-renewable resources and at the same time also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
Yoga and Active Weekend in October
To celebrate our partnership, a Yoga and Active Weekend will be held for the first time at Hotel GUT Trattlerhof & Chalets from October 14 to October 17, 2021. Both beginners and sports enthusiasts will get their money's worth: in addition to numerous fitness and yoga units for every level in the CO2-neutral hotel, guests and participants can get just as active in the gorgeous Nockberge region. The mountain yoga trail at over 2,000 meters above sea level is just one of the many highlights there, along with wonderful running trails in the countryside and countless hiking routes in the autumn-colored Carinthian Alps.
To kick off the sporty weekend, I will enter into an exciting dialogue on the topic of fashion and sustainability with all interested parties as part of the discussion series „Impuls am Berg“ at the Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets. On October 14, 2021 at 8 p.m., Impuls am Berg will then be called "Fitico Sportswear - Sustainably produced from old fishing nets!". I will give insights into my sustainable ideas and productions and of course answer all questions about the responsible production of sports fashion.
Of course, the yoga and active weekend at the Hotel Gut Trattlerhof & Chalets will be accompanied by a culinary supporting program that places just as much emphasis on sustainability, regionality and seasonality. In addition to the usual dishes, many vegetarian and fitness dishes will be on the menu to round off the Vital Weekend.
YOGA & ACTIVE WEEKEND: 3 nights in a double room incl. Trattler's Vital half board, 3 units of yoga or fitness training, 1 unit of aqua fitness, admission to the thermal spa for 4 hours, as well as participation in the dialogue series „Impuls am Berg“ and Carinthia and Sunshine Card included from 347€ per person.
