Are you unhappy with the packaging waste after ordering online? We at Fitico have found a solution! We came across an innovative concept that R-Create, a Romanian company with Austrian participation, has already successfully implemented in Romania: the returnable shipping bag. A reusable packaging that can be reused 25 times and more.

Tear-resistant, waterproof and recyclable

The shipping bag is tear-resistant, waterproof and lightweight. It is made of polypropylene, the same material that the blue or yellow shopping bags of the furniture giant Ikea are made of. Our shipping bags are made in Buzau, a city in eastern Romania. When they can no longer be reused, our shipping bags are recycled back into thin threads that are further processed in downstream manufacturing processes.

We are the first company in Austria

In Romania, the Reusable Bags are used to ship books. Carturesti, a Romanian book, stationery and toy retailer that has become the country's best-known in just a few years, particularly for their beautiful store concept, offers the Reusable Bag for its online orders. Fitico Sportswear is the first company in Austria that now has the possibility to try out this sustainable packaging: In our case, not for books, but for sportswear. How exciting!

Of course, we had to adapt the existing process a bit. The most important difference to the book trade: sportswear is tried on. Therefore, the delivery  service can't take the packaging back right at the door.

So how does it work with us?

When you choose the corresponding shipping option on your Fitico order, your order will be delivered to you in the Reusable Bag. You will have enough time to take out the ordered goods and try them on. Once you're done, you simply throw the empty shipping bag in the next mailbox: The postage is already paid.

Return the packaging - shipping costs back!

As a thank you for your cooperation you will get back the shipping costs of EUR 4,50. The special goodie: For orders over EUR 100,- shipping is free. If you order with reusable packaging, we will give you EUR 4,50 as a gift.

Currently, we are in a test phase with the Reusable Bag, which means that we are constantly testing and optimizing the process. We are very grateful for the orders that have already been processed with Reusable Bag. When the process is up and running smoothly, the Reusable Bag may soon be able to replace our cardboard shipping boxes.
